Week in review

Reviewing the week for me.

1) Played Basketball 2X, decided to become a guard, don't let ppl shoot, must improve on not fouling though.
2) I got full marks for Chinese 'O' Level Listening
3) I got banned from playing in the CyberAC, for leaving the air-con on the whole night.
4) I will be going to the fitness club next week
5) I gave up on my Station Inspector post, not going for interview next week.

human weakness lies in our philosophical thinking, where we usually make things seem like a bigger deal than it really actually is. but i guess thinking about self, in the non-selfish manner, is good because it helps us to understand ourselves better. thinking about the future and all that jazz is only useful for those who ask more of "what am i going to do?", rather than "what is going to happen to me?"

Oh no, Kenneth scares me, with his sudden outbursts of philosophical shit and what not. And all these references to lfie and God and death and blah blah.

haha it so happened i posted about that even before i saw your post gideon. lol and my posts are usually of that kind of length. if not longer : ) short posts belong on the tagboard, dont they? bahh anyway..

life is only interesting cos the extremes exist. take clement's example of anger. if anger didnt exist in the world, and everyone were docile and pacified all the time, wouldnt life be boooring? if passionate love and hate didnt exist, our relationships would be limited to acquaintance status alone. and if everyone were simply acquaintances, i'd really rather die.

look at the friar. look at aristotle. fine, they would get through life relatively 'happy', because suree, the amount of conflict in their lives might be significantly reduced. but then again, do you think they could be truly happy? without euphoria nor depression, life is simply like the life monitoring machine thingy that goes teeeeeeeeeeeeeeet. yeah you're dead like the patient attached to it. your life would be empty. and when they look back on their lives, they wont be able to say anything about it except 'whew, ive survived __ years on earth.'

i have only pity for such people.

Would i die for for a passionate, absolute and consuming love? yeah you bet i would. for that kind of love gives me a cause for living. and that very same cause should be one worth dying for.

Uhh, if you are that extreme, you will go out with a bang, sure it may be fun, but like, how long will it last? I guess, moderate for most of the part, but sometimes release control or soemthing.

ie, take romeo, too much and he dies, and the frair, too moderate and he's like, a frair. lol.

However, i am angry, one of the extremes, not violent delights but violence and violency. I mean like, what a shitty week, long days (tues and wed), tons of hw (let's see, FOUR lit review, rnj prose, physics tys, physics quiz , chem holiday hw, goeg field study). Yup, the week itself was already bad, but now even the weekend is not free?

I think my post looks like crap next to kenneth's maybe cos its like messy and stuff, so un professional.

Oh i'm flat broke, $20 for the rest of July, nice Haven, if i buy that i will have $0. Wow so fun.

just realised there's this thing called itunes radio, which really is quite cool. check it out :) and i never imagined paris hilton actually sang songs :O i thought she was just capable of getting bad press and making homemade porn vids o.0 but her voice sucks though. so nasal

it's finally the weekend, and boy am i beat. mentally and physically exhausted by the onslaught of stuff which continuously seiges us. is there no end to our monotony.

school -> homework -> sleep -> school -> homework -> sleep -> school

and i always like to end off my posts with a question or an issue to think about:

"violent delights lead to violent ends". but i say go for the violent delights. life is worth living only because of the extremes. a life in moderation, so to speak, will be awfully boring and monotonous.

i'd way rather live a short but meaningful life than a long tiresome one. after all, life on earth is only temporal :) how about you?
